Small Talk, LLC is a pediatric speech-language pathology practice in Reston, Virginia located conveniently across from the Reston Town Center.  Small Talk, LLC was established 10 years ago in order to provide a fun and welcoming environment in which to meet your child’s individual oral-motor, feeding, speech and language needs.  I use play-based therapy to make each session enjoyable and effective and I am committed to helping your child reach their speech and language potential.

About Marci

About Marci Britt: Speech Therapist

My name is Marci Nace-Britt and I am a licensed, ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist who has been working with children in a private practice setting for 17 years. I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida and my master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University.

I am trained in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), Beckman oral-motor techniques, the Affect-Based Language Curriculum (ABLC) approach, Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) and I utilize neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) techniques. In addition, I have completed many other courses and specialized training in the areas of oral-motor, feeding, speech and language issues.

I am passionate about my work and I feel blessed to do what I love! Helping a child to achieve their potential is the most rewarding career I could imagine. Small Talk Speech Therapy Services

At Small Talk Pediatric Speech Language Pathologists, we offer individual or group therapy sessions for your child. Individual therapy sessions are typically scheduled for fifty minutes but may vary based on your child’s needs. Pragmatic (social use of language) groups are available based on interest and compatibility. Evaluations and consultations are available in the following areas:

  • Speech / Oral-Motor-assesses articulation (speech sounds) and oral-motor structure and function
  • Feeding / Oral-Motor-assesses feeding skills and oral-motor structure and function
  • Speech and Language-assesses articulation, oral-motor structure and function, expressive language skills (what your child is able to say/verbalize) and receptive language skills (what your child understands)
  • Language-assesses expressive and receptive language skills
