ASHA Certified Speech Language Pathologist Ali Pettit
Hi! My name is Ali Pettit and I am a licensed, ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist. I earned both my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders and my master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Central Michigan University. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including: public schools, pediatric outpatient hospital clinics, and private practice. Experience in each of these settings provides me a unique perspective and allows me to walk with families on their journey, whether it be navigating the school IEP process, advocating for additional services, or finding and implementing the most up to date, evidenced based methods to help their child reach their fullest potential and find success at home, at school, and in their community. I have found that regardless of where I am practicing, the kiddos and families that I have the privilege to work with each day are what make me grateful each day for my job!
I have experience working with, and a long side occupational therapists, physical therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), ABA therapists, and teachers, to coordinate services and work together to support the children we serve in meeting their goals. I have also participated in extensive continuing education and trainings to broaden my scope of practice and hone in on evidenced based strategies in order to provide the most effective and individualized therapy for each child. My career to this point had afforded me the chance to work with children with a wide range of speech and language disorders, from articulation and speech sound disorders to Autism Spectrum Disorders, and everything in between. I feel confident that together we can help your child gain independence, confidence, and truly find their voice!
